With all of the recent news on this creature, I am joyed, that they finally found a pic of one in the wild.

But let me ask this. Once it's tentacle was caught, was it the Japanese that helped it to be ripped off, or did the have no other choice to let it go? Which is essentially, a willingness to allow an appendage to be ripped off.

I wish they had video, instead of just pics.

I have been waiting for this event for a long, long time. One has to ask oneself how it is possible that such an animal, especially of that size, could go so long without being captured on film.
