Once in a while you come across something that really pulls at your heart strings.

I have heard this track before, but the along with the animation, its makes you realise just how real things can be and also makes you think of what you have.

Yup - got to me. It's packaged pretty...well, tear-jerky, but the underlying message is what got to me.

It got to me... Not only bringing back bad memories, but also just how beautiful it was.

I think I've seen waaaaaaay too many twee tributes to be moved by this kind of thing anymore.
11/9 was tragic, but life has moved on. Now, over four years later, memories of that day have lost their impact.
There's my opinion, for what it's worth.

Danaan, i can understand what you mean by "lost their impact" and i respect your opinion, but every now and again, something pops up that brings home the feelings that so many people must have felt, not just about 9/11 but loss in general.

Watching the animation and hearing that littles girls voice really does make you be thankful for what you have, and help you appreciate even more the time we have with each other.

Gotta say I'm kinda with Danaan on this one.

Usually anything relating to children will impact me pretty easily.

In this instance, the impact of the message is lost in the cheesey presentation.

The way it is presented removes any sense of reality from it, and it feels more like one of those cheesy emails with the fabricated "feel good" story that church moms 'round the country feed on.

Danaan, it all depends on the basis of those memories.

For someone in California, or outside the US who didn't actually lose someone, then sure, some of those memories may have lost impact.

But for someone that was there, lost friends/family, or helped dig out survivors/casualties, then those memories do still have alot of impact.
