He is able to get a piece of software called Pinnacle Studio 9 for USD 20. I have never heard of this. His use would be taking family videos and breaking them into chapters to put onto a DVD. Does anyone have any recomendations or experience that would be helpful in deciding the software to use? Dan @ Code Town

I have an old hard spot for Pinnacle however and would never recommend them to anyone. .

yes, pinnacle studio will be sufficient for cutting home videos. it's actually made for that.
