So, assuming everything goes according to nature, Paul Alexander will be born to the Barrette family in early March of '06. He is being named after my father who passed away almost three years ago now. So... cigars all around, real and chocolate (wouldn't want to leave anyone out), and WooHoo!! GD

I was there in the beginning (so-to-speak) but then there was a divorce and for many many years we only saw each other at what I'll call the 'milestones' 5 - 8- 11- 13. Then when he was 19 or 20 he decided to search me out and ask a few questions. Since then, while we still don't get to 'see' each other that much, we've stayed in touch via phone and email and have developed what I'd call a 'very good friendship/relationship.' In fact, a far better friendship than some, if not many, father-son relationships I personally know of where the father was there all the time. So, while the marriage didn't work... father-son did, and very well, as did my 2nd marriage, (18 years and counting). So overall I'm very pleased with how things have turned out and I don't think one can ask for much more, except possibly, more... money =) ...but if either relationship is based on that you don't really have either, do you (?).
