Ok so I just decided to check to see how much of a hard drive I have left. And I was amazed to see I only had 500mbs left out of 27gbs. I have some music on my computer but nothing near 26gbs. Are there any programs out there that can find big files or maybe show what folders have large sizes? Im so confused..

Personally, I use the free
sequoiaview
which draws a cushion map of your hard disk... immediatly telling you where the biggies are in one big picture.

I've always liked Scanner 2.0 because of the nice graphical view it gives you of the disk.

Those are some nice programs you suggested DL and TP.

I used to use sequoiaview as well, but found the listing from treesize *far* more useful.

Just downloaded TreeSize. Excellent little program.

[Edit: With the minor exception that folders not written in English appear as all question marks... couldn't find any info on encoding...]

[Edit2: Ah, but I can right-click on a folder, select Properties, and see the name that way... problem solved, if still a tad inconvenient.]
