Topic: installing netscape 4.7 (Page 1 of 1)

please dont ask why, all i can say is, that i MUST test a website in netscape 4.7.

now i downloaded it directly from ftp.netscape.com but i cant get it installed. whenever i click on the exe nothing happens.
i tried different versions including cb32d479.exe cb32d48.exe cc32d479.exe cc32d48.exe

does anyone know what the problem could be?

No idea... probably some freaky problem between your windows and the netscape installer...

I once couldn't install Firefox on an old 98 machine... same behaviour.


Anyhow, I happen to have a Netscape 4.7 at hand right now... so holler if you want some screens.

I have it on Win2k as well if you need anything

I just can't bring myself to uninstall it even tho I can't recall the last time I checked anything in it. I keep it in case VP pays a visit I guess?

im running winXP pro.
the download says 95,98 and NT. but i dont think that should be an issue.
