Topic awaiting preservation: Bad Links... and Noob Help

I Have Been Digging Deep into the Gunk that is in the Sink, trying to find out how to make Elemental effects (Fire..Water..Wind..Soforth) and Along the Way... Have Found Many Bad Links ( For Example this tut on Displacements ... Hopefully someone could fix them )

I Also Just Recently got CS2 ( FINNALY ) and there for got Imageready. I Have Never used Imageready before ( Never Had it intill now) and I don't know where to start, so Basically I?m Just asking... Where do I start... I have Googled Imageready...But I haven't found anything that helps me get started with it... So If Someone can Point Me In The Right Direction, I would be Most thankful

The first thing I did when I got imageready was go through and try and do some of the tutorials here at the asylum. Any of the ones by Mahjqa are incredible.

In the begining, I would just do as much of the tutorial as I could. Untill I got confused or lost or whatever. Then I moved on to the next one. Eventually I'd go back and finish the firsts ones. Thats basically how I got my feet wet. Good luck.
