Hey, im pretty sure we haven't done this yet.

So now do it. Throw down the coolest music related sig you've ever seen. It doesn't have to be too obvious. Just as long as it bears some remote resemblence to the musical theme.

Standard rules and practices. Fire at will.

Great idea Jung I think that is really well thought out.
tomeaglescz, it looks like you have saved the .GIF with a light or white transparency colour, but you wouldn't do that would you?

tao idk what went wrong the mat is set tp 43 4 4 pfff rendered from 3d studio max with an alpha channel used to cut the bg away from the model no need for magic wand etc.... anyway version 2 up now still a bit to go i think

Jung that second one is a keeper nice subtle use of the notes to spell ya name

tom, i guess you are using max for the trumpet. well, if you want the jaggies fixed, just set the max-background to the asylum colors and render it. then save the files to a fileformat including the alpha channel. then in imageready you can use the alpha channel to create smooth anti aliased edges and avoid those jaggies.

I can't see them either, I took a look at the code and for some strange reason there are spanse with a style of display:none surrounding his images.

I really like the idea NJ, but I find the letters quite light and difficult to read

I had the letters darker but they didn't look right (at least to my eyes) because they're supposed to look as old and worn as that old peg.

Let me clarify. When I said I couldn't see Jung's sig(s), I was talking about the submission thread, not this thread. I'm not sure what it is, but Jung's images are not showing at all. I can't see the images that GRUMBLE posted here, either.

Ah... now the problem is becoming clearer. I went into the source and found the URL for the images, then plugged those directly into the address bar. Apparently the site where the images are hosted has been blacklisted by my ISP. Dang it! They called me up twice and asked me if I wanted to get the "protection from bad sites" service and I said no both times. Then they got my wife to answer once and she said yes (not really knowing what it was, only that it was free for a month). Now I have to figure out how to disable it. Grrr... I will not be having my ISP tell me which sites I can and cannot visit.

OK, sorry about that. Everything is explained.

how about making the trumpet stationary and have notes coming out of it spelling your name? Maybe even have it on the staff? Just an idea

Hmmm.... Not real happy with this one, but for what it's worth...

I have an entry started but I am very busy with work and other stuff...might not finish anything for this month's contest but the entries on the chatter and sig thread are awesome!

according to my clock... its the 1st of march. buuuut, we hadnt started untill the 3rd. And its a short month. So Im gonna drag it out another 24 hours.

Last minute submission bombardment... commence!
