Just got back from the 3-day weekend in Vegas that our company gave us as a bonus, I stayed at the Flamingo, across the street from Caesars Palace and man, what a place vegas is..

Those who likened it to "Disneyland for adults" really hit the spot, quite a lot more expensive than other places in the US I've been though.

I liked the trip and it was fun to see it, but I can't see myself going back there, at least not on my expense... It's just... absurd. Sorry but I can't find any other word for it.

Instead of re-writing what I've posted in my blog those interested are welcome to pop over here: http://dmsproject.blogspot.com/ to read.

Cheers/D

Might be going to Vegas soon. The only thing I'm looking forward to is getting away from the kids. I don't gamble in the slightest or any of that other junk, so I'm sure I'll be bored out of my mind.

If I can find a way to dump our card, maybe take buttloads of pictures of the freaks.

Be sure to shoot the Stardust. I just read they're going to tear it down before the end of the year. Another classic gone.

Vegas can be done on the cheap you just need to stay away from the strip. Hit up one of the smaller casinos that cater more to the locals and you can find cheaper places to play, and eat

Honestly just park in front of quarter Slot and you can drink pretty cheap for quite a while if you milk it and then hit the buffets for dinner and it's usually a pretty good deal.

And WJ there's a ton more to do than just gamble in Vegas.

If you got any tips on things to do, Bit, I'm all ears. One thing we are thinking of doing is catching a comedy show. Comedy Central can take you only so far.

It's a bit hard to say because so much changes so frequently there. But there's a ton of shows, the Blue Man group and the Cirque du Soleil shows are usually good bets.

The Venitian has a pretty nice little museum in it and most other hotels have some specialty acts going on. Also most have gaming classes so even if you don't gamble you can take these and learn the games. Oh and you can do the dinner at the Excalibur where they have the whole knight's show and you eat with your hands etc.

Personally I gamble a bit so I don't have the perfect solutions but go by your hotels front desk I'm sure they will have a ton of options for you.

I just got back from Vegas tonight and had a great time there. I'm not a big gambler either, my girl and I spent a few hours dropping quarters into cheapo slots and playing video poker but nothing more than that.

There's an incredible Titanic exhibit going on there now. Very moving.

We also went and saw 'O' by Cirque du Soleil (my second time seeing it) and though it's expensive, it was well worth it.

If you want to try something really off the wall, head to a restaurant called "The Egg and I" for their dinner theater. That was a hell of a good time. The show is called "Marriage is Murder" and you can get tix online at vegas.com.
