Yes, I belive that the second post was the one intended. Now, being a Marine that was recently deployed to Iraq, I know firsthand of the bull crap that is blocked out there. As is stated in that article, we can only check our email via the .mil accounts, unless you wait the sometimes hours to check a MWR computer that is allowed access to hotmail and the like. We were also not allowed to have computer backgrounds that depicted girls in provacative atire (military definition of provacative atire is anything other than the face/hands showing). For those of us who like to play games (console or computer) we were not allowed to any gaming forums or sites that gave strategy guides/codes ect. about the only things that we could do on those computers (other than work) was go to car forums and such, keeping in mind that if a post on one of those forums had questionable images, you better hope that nobody is monitoring your account at that time. I just think that it is rediculous(sp?) that we are out there fighting for our rights and those of our loved ones back home, and we cant even have pictures of our wemon on our computers without getting yelled at for it. And on top of that, I dont know how all the .mil mail servers were out there, but the one that I was on was constantly crashing and only up about half of the day, meaning that it was almost impossible to comunicate with family and friends back home.

Well, I just thought that I would give you all some more insight to the lives of deployed Marines.

TexMar: Don't really know where to start... but I'll begin with, I'm very glad/happy you didn't come out in a body bag. Next is... welcome to this place...specifically this part of the asylum.

Next is, I'm not an american but I don't really think that has much to do with what you referred to ...and I agree is, 'bull crap.' I mean... I don't understand the brain that on one hand says 'here's a gun and some bullets boy... now go out there and save us... but don't you go looking at them girlie pictures or be talkin' to or hangin' out with any of them liberal types..'

Somebody thinks somebody is fucking stupid....all I know is... that it's certainly not you
and I know for certain it's not me. =)

Glad you're back... and again.. welcome to this place.

Thanks for the welcome NoJive. I will put in my two cents whenever I have the time/drive to. I also would like to thank you for your support (both of my post and my being in the Marines). I dont have much time to write now as I have to be at work in a few hours and would like to sleep for atleast five of them, but I do hope to become atleast an ocasional poster here, and I will also be trying to learn a thing or two from some of the main forum threads.

Could you maybe explain what you mean by the blocked lines?

What rights of ours and our loved ones are being fought for in Iraq?

Perhaps you mean fighting for democracy for the Iraqis, instead?

A slight update (slight?)
I see that Wonkette is "Blocked no more"
I don't really know what the situation is for the British soldier, I'll have to do a little digging to find out. I'll keep you posted.
