I was wondering if someone could point me to a tut that would show me how to create an "admin" page for a site I'm doing. All I need it to do is allow someone who knows nothing of HTML that could post simple updates and upload pics into an image directory. |

This isn't the most complciated thing to do, but it isn't exactly the easiest either |

PHP would probably be easiest since the site is PHP based. |

Sorry if this makes anyone cringe here, but there is always the free Content Management System (CMS) solution, which allows you to waste very little time on things you don't really want to get involved with (whether it's design, coding, etc.) |

<insert overly exagerated macho sloppy smile here> I doubt you would want to hear my comments about a girl's ideas in the area of software engineering.</insert> |

WOW, didn't realize how deep this would end up getting. I was hoping for a simple, few lines of code and a data base type of solution.... |

I just gave an html developer some training on PHP and they found that WordPress was really easy to setup. Creating a new template was easy and the administration interface was easy for the standard user. WordPress is just a little blogging tool, which handles image uploads and posting of "Stories." This is often enough if the goal is to keep the site fresh. |

When I redid my site a couple of months ago I did a short writeup of a couple of systems here: |

And she's free to express herself, but I don't think I am pissing her off, what's up with humor? We've known each other for years, |

thanks bd... wordpress looks like the ticket. I picked up a php/mysql book a while ago DL and it gave me migranes! (way too much reading...) I think I'll stick to music. |
