Hello,
I need help trying to blend a face onto the rest of a Einstein's head. Here is the face I want to be on his head:
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/9623/faceyo8.th.png
The Einstein picture can be any picture of Einstein. Something that is known would be nice, maybe something like http://hep.fi.infn.it/wyp2005/img/einstein.jpg or http://euler.ciens.ucv.ve/matematic...es/einstein.gif

I tried doing this with monking around with a photo editor but I could not figure out how to make it look like its actually on his head. I can just put it on there but then there is a dark line that doesnt make it look at all real or screws up Einstein's hair or something. I want Einstein's hair and the other face.

If anyone can help me, that would be great.
Thanks.

Second Einstein is 404.

You want the glasses, too?

Alright, the first one would be better anyways. The glasses should be included.

Your going to have to start with bigger pics than that if you wanna make it look good.

i'd probably use cut and paste then hit up the clone tool to get a nice transition

It would also help, if possible, to get your subject in as similar a pose as the object (or vice-versa) as you can. The face you're trying to paste onto Einstein is tilted downward slightly, so even with the best blending and cloning, it's still not going to look completely right.

To make it look like it belongs there, several things need to happen.
As Master Suho mentioned, the poses need to be similar.
The lighting needs to be similar. Although some of this can be fixed.
Photo quality needs to be similar. Graininess can be added to one or the other.
Colors need to be corrected, or grey scaled, and tone adjusted.
Then, you need to scale the new face to fit, ( reduce opacity of the new face and transform until the eyes, nose and mouth roughly line up with the old face) and blending the edges together is easiest using a mask. When you mask out the parts of the new face that aren`t nedded, blur the edges of the mask for a smooth transition.

What editing program are you using ?

Corel Paint Shop Pro..

And I dont need it to be super perfect, just as long as it doesnt look like there are the dark lines from where I cut out the face and put it on the other.

XCF psd

Eyes could use some lightening, and colors could be better matched if both layers were desaturated (and then hue readjusted for sepia look, if desired), and of course here and there the blending could be better.
