Latin America, let's not be too specific as I don't want to sound like there is a racist emphasis in my talk.
The problem is, quite common in Latin countries at some point in their history, that the concept of "no sex before marriage"
is enforced upon ladies.
That is extremely unhealthy in essence me thinks : while I favour sex with love, ladies there, if catholic,
are taught they should "give away" to one man in a lifetime, that masturbation means damnation, and so on and so forth.
This seems not to impact everybody there, but I've witnessed public harassment on a mature lady who happened to sleep with her second fiancee,
youth hiding "in the bushes" in dangerous areas for the lack of choice, young males cheating lots on their official (organizing sex trips) who after all cannot have sex before mariage,
a pastor condemning the upcoming mariage of the above fiancee for she had spent years with another man before
- who did cheat as the standard appears to be to circumvent their own "common belief", heard of a lady impacted by a minor, potentially sexually transmittable disease,
who thought she was a criminal and was drowning into deep depression because, after all, she had had sex out of the scope of a mariage
and was possessed by sin and the devil.
And so on and so forth.
I call myself an "official" catholic because I know what I talk about, have studies the bible, do believe in God, but for
reasons partly cultural, disregard all sequels of the roman catholic church as sects, and orient my readings of the words of God towards nature :
I think instincts are not a challenge, but a gift for us to channel appropriately.
I think sex is wonderful when added to love (and sometimes without) and seeing ladies get MAD for they happened to love some wrong guy at some point is shocking.
I remember a clerk who was shaking, I mean shaking like she would collapse, because a customer in a drugstore was buying condoms :
she turned white, cashed the "box of devil" and threw it away not daring to LOOK at it.
