My first pair here
and my second here
Unfortunately, my friends dog wouldn't stand still long enough for me to get a third photo of a pair.
Blaise that carpet reminds me of all the generic carpets I have seen in various student union bars and communal areas. Would I make a good CSI or am I off target? Oh, hang on they look a bit like bowling shoes, or is that fashion?

Definitely not the fashion...

I was chuffed I had the blue suede ones though

I went bowling with some friends in one of the old Americana style bowling lanes in Bloomsbury, London.

Everyone happy to leave this topic rollin' for a while

Me, for one, veeeery busy... got a few photos, but any spare computer time has been spent fighting with Norton 360... it's gone to the bin now... oh joy... what's a $100 anyway

I suppose it's a bit late to help you now Ian But for years now I have only used free anti-virus software and so far afaik I've been clean as a whistle. My collection of anti-nasties are AVG for anti-virus. AD Aware 2007 for known data-mining, advertising, and tracking components, SpyBot S&D to detect and remove a multitude of adware files and modules as well as data mining.
There are a few more that are worth a look too, but be wary. I once downloaded what looked to be a good AV software and it itself turned out to be a Trojan, sorry can't remember the name now. That's why I've just linked to "Download dot com" as I trust them.

Thanks Tao... you're on it

Ad Aware I always run and I just installed AVG... very happy now... I think I'm done with pay-for forever!

Weell finally

I've been sweating on this pair... even longer than Tao sweated on his tits; I reckon.

I picked the topic when two pairs of birds started nesting near our waterfront. It's been a long and harrowing pregnancy for them, as our waterfront is undergoing a $AU 1.2 bill rehash.

Without further ado I give you a pair...... and raise ya one

That's right it must be spring down in Aus' because we are in the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness here in Blighty, what a beautiful world. What are they Ian? Let me guess, ermmmmmmmmm Kookaboroughs?

They're weird critturs these ones: Stone Curlews

NB Ta make it a bit weirder, these are bush stone curlews living at the beach... beach stone curlews are very different.

I guess... now that I got the photo I waz waiting for, it would be safe ta call for a new topic... but any more pairs would be much appreciated.

It seems appropriate, in an Asylum, that the timing of threads should be dictated by two birds sitting on a few sticks

Blaise, you haven't had a pick for about a year how about it?

Thanks for the info' Ian, I'm always interested in these things.
The Curlew here in England has a beautiful song especially early morning and evening. It's an enduring memory I wish to revisit soon, walking on the beach in the early evening listening to the Curlew song with it's primeval, haunting echoes.
