A regular 56k, or a DSL or cable modem? Either way, the modem is necessary fro 'logging onto any url' but that's about four layers up from what it actually does. If you have a 56k modem - have you turned on the speaker? Does it make the usual dialing and connecting noises? If it's a dsl modem - do the correct lights come up that say you have a dsl link... What provider are you using - is the connection to the provider established before you try to visit an url? so long, ->Tyberius Prime Loading...
