So I've been without a camera for some time now. After doing quite a bit of reading and reviews and determining how much money I was willing to spend, I got a Canon A570IS last night.

Haven't used it a lot yet but I plan on doing a bit of photography now

It will be interesting ta see what you think of the "facial recognition system"... I thought long and hard about it before selecting my last purchase; an Olympus 770... the waterproofing sold me in the end But with no manual focus and a very touchy "half push" on the shutter release, I'm always getting faces out of focus in those "arty" portraits that I always think are gunna look so fantastic
