I quite agree that people should be free to celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday or secular or whatever. What upsets me so much are the people who are terrified of offending people by saying "Merry Christmas". And I'm even more upset by those who could be offended by it. I celebrate Christmas in much the same way that Suho described. I feel it is crucial that if we are ever going to truly defeat intolerance in this society, we must fight against it whenever and to whomever it happens. WH, acknowledged about the hijacking. The church coopted existing celebrations and that is all quite appropriate from a christian theological point of view.
