Of course, countless people have died for their faith throughout the ages, Christian or otherwise (perhaps, in many cases, at the hands of Christians), and many have had their personal crosses to bear against the persecution and hardships visited upon them by others of a zealous and maniacal bent... but it makes your specific choice of mentor no less valid, I suppose. ;) Of course, for anyone to strive to be human, perfect or otherwise, is to accept that nobody is perfect, and that nobody should ever claim to be.
