Ever since I started using Photoshop CS3 Extended I've started to experience problems with Photoshop becoming unresponsive for long periods of time and almost crashing every time I switch to the font tool. |

There are many utilities that will allow you to activate fonts for your current session (until the next boot) or permanently. Font Reserve and Suitcase are examples. I suppose there might be freeware too |

Well first thing I would do is go to Preferances-->Type and turn off font preview. This is what is slowing down photoshop. And it mostly useless unless you set the previews to big, and then you have to scroll for hours. |
