Topic: Winter began with a bang this year (Page 1 of 1)

So there was this big snowstorm this weekend and I decided to take my camera with my on my way to work this morning. Didn't have any time at all so the composition is all lousy but I did screw a bit with the colors otherwise it wouldn't be me.

I was pissed off just 4 days ago because I had to cut the grass and mulch the autumn leaves. Think I'll just shut up.

I don't work in the hotel. I work in the next building where the IT company is It's nice and warm there too tho.

I think there are two sides to this coin. There's the ugliness such as 10000 households lost electricity, cars stuck in the snow, a buss drove off the road, 55 car accidents total in 1 day. But then it's snow, I'm sure the kids love it. Then again it's all going to melt on Wednesday and then there will be water, ice, sleet and mud how about that

I personally liked the little bit of 'bad' weather because it's kind of special how it gives you the sense of a little adventure when climbing over a wall of snow or sliding down the stairs while one hand holding on to the camera and the other one holding on to your life My home is warm, my workplace is warm and most of the storm I just observed through a window while sipping a hot drink oblivious of all the troubles. I also liked how the day before the 'rescue service' (that's the direct translation of what the fire brigade organization is called here) warned everyone and told us to stay inside and warm and if driving on small roads to take a shovel, warm clothes and a hot drink.

Nice pictures, but I freakin hate snow. Actually...I don't like winter. Pretty to look at in pictures but that's as far as I can take it.

Nice photos Arthurio, not enough time to click through them all at present. I love the way the snow forms on the windward side of the tree trunks.
