So many projects, so little time...

The first thing that comes to my mind is hooking up a temperature and humidity sensor to monitor my new mini-greenhouse that has a bunch of newly planted seeds in it Maybe add a relay to turn the fluorescent lights on and off on a timer. Could add a pulley and small motor to raise and lower the front edge of the greenhouse and a relay to a fan to get some fresh air moving through there each day. Maybe try to add a soil moisture sensor and rig up an automated watering system to it. Then I just need a a camera and an image processing tool to monitor when they break the surface and automatically transplant them to bigger pots when they're big enough.... Of course I think I just scoped myself out of a weekend project though


So... What would you do with it?

could rig up a sensor to tell which are male and which are female so there's no pollination. Then once they are ripe enough after the transplant, have a robotic arm snip them and move them to the drying room (hanging upside down of course). Then the moisture sensor could determine if they are dry enough and move them to the packing room to be vacuum sealed in jars for fresh keeping.
