Topic: Are there any Event Driven Architecture jQuery plugins?

Are there any Event Driven Architecture jQuery plugins?

(Meaning that within the plugin there would be 1 component that handles all events from various components on the page; The publisher/subscriber model, but with a central component that handles firing of events from publishers, and notifying the correct subscribers for that event)?

I can't seem to find one, but my guess is that they just call it something else in Javascript.

What you're looking for is called "Event Delegation." Just Google it.

I don't think this is what I was referring to...every example I see of this gets fired from something such as a DOM event. I'm talking about events in a more general sense in that they don't have to be fired by the DOM, they can be fired from a component (such as a timer) instead.

Let me know if I'm not being clear.
