Europe will get to see the beginning of it, southeast Asia might catch the end of it. Those of us in the states though should have a good show, barring any nasty weather, which there's quite a bit of right now. Fortunately for me, south Texas looks nice and clear (and not that cold).

And it's on the winter solstice no less

With just over an hour duration of total eclipse, I'm hoping I can figure out how to get a picture through my scope before it's over.

We're hoping the clouds lift by tomorrow nite but I'm not holding my breath.

The "show" earlier this month that peaked on the 13th was also rained out.

How are you making out with that small hand-held keyboard whatever it was called?

Yes that's the gadget. 20 wpm I think that's pretty damn fast considering what it is. Anyway I was just wondering how you were making out with it.

I think an accordion player would have a distinct advantage. -_Q

Guess I must be in my own little cosmic time shift. I thought this show was tomorrow nite but neighbours and 'she who must be obeyed' have set me straight.

Yea, I was all set up for it, had the scope and camera ready, and about 15-30 minutes in, some serious fog rolled in :/
Missed the rest of it.

I had a pretty good view from my home in New York. It was worth staying up and staying home from work today.

The BBC has some pretty good pictures of it.
