My life has changed so much in so little time, and substantially for the better. I cannot say that the lockdown has been cruel to me, though it came at a crazy time- I had just been made redundant when the UK went into lockdown. I had also just bought my first home, committing myself to a mortgage that I could ill afford without a job.

I got a new job though, and I'm flourishing. My wife and I spent some of the down time decorating and refitting our first home, and got so much more done to it than we might have without the lockdown. My new clients are mostly health services and construction companies, so job security is pretty-much guaranteed.

As positive as it has been, it has been hard work, often stressful, and my wife is still waiting to know when she can return to her management position at her theatre, which has been dark for over a year. We are happy, generally healthy, but uncertain. The world is a very different place, both at large and, for us both, personally.

Yet the OzoneAsylum is consistent, solid, and familiar. No matter how far I range, or how much I change, like a beacon, the gentle glow of the OA remains.

The sense of reassurance it gives me is... weird, honestly. I have no idea why, but finding it's halloed halls still haunted by the inmates whose names I have grown so familiar with over the years is comforting.

Whatever your lives bring, however events unfold, I hope you are all safe, healthy, and warm.

Happy New Year, and best of all things to you all.

And continue being excellent to each other.

I've been actually enjoying the time working from home, playing with my kid, not commuting, getting everything delivered including groceries, keeping safe and just being patient. Lately I have also been doing more with the 3D printer again, got a new one as well, quite fun.
