Where can I get free sig hosting?

There is quite a call for free sig hosting as a lot of free web site providers don't allow external linking so we've compiled a list of one's we've come across (please read their Terms and conditions first before you upload images - we don't want you spoiling things for everyone else)

TERM/CONDITION #1:
No 'Backstreet Boys' quotes are allowed in any signatures.

Freesighosting.freehostia.com - 2Mb limit per file
ImAHosting's sig uploader - has a 20kb limit.
xs.to Free Image Hosting - has a 1500kb limit (former sigs.xs.to).

Asylum only:

These services will only work for sigs used on the Asylum board (as long as they are conform to any other restrictions):

OzoneAsylum sigs ONLY - JPEGs and GIFs under 30K for registered ozoneasylum inmates only, if you call an image from here to somewhere besides ozoneasylum.com domain you'll get nothing but a nasty flashing animated GIF

TomEaglesCZ - offers sig and image hosting for inmates - contact him and he;ll sort something out.

ImageMagician - 2 week trial before account expires

The following sites give you a 3 megabyte account to host images:

ImgStudio - Adds a small watermark to your picture (bottom right)

The following sites give you between 3 and 10 megabytes to host images:

Gaston Glock Web Design - 5 MB space, 1 MB filesize limit, unlimitted bandwidth, remote linking

These sites give you (between 10 and 25 megabytes) of web space. They let you link images.

Services pop up and disappear - these have been active but now seem not to be working we will keep an eye on them and bump them back above the line if they return:

AXS Studios image uploader - an impressive (and quick) service which also allows various images to be stored (for 6 months - sigs are stored for longer) - this service doesn't currently seem to be up and runnng (I'll keep an eye on it to see if it is a glitch)

MaxForums - doesn't seem to exist anymore.

your sig host - this site doesn't appear to exist anymore (will check back later).

SigRealm - offer 1Mb of space and you can store other graphics there too (they often put a hold on signing up new people).

NOTE: SigRealm has put a permanent freeze on new accounts and sig uploads. According to their website, all sigs were to be deleted on 21 August, and it appears that all former accounts have now been deleted.

We would advise strongly against using services like Tripod and then trying various tricks to get the images to display on external pages - you are infringing the ToS and will have the hosting service withdrawn. There are good legitimate services available from the above sources so USE THEM.
