Automatic Hyperlinking Problems: changes requested

Two problems I see with automatic hyperlinking.

1. If a URL someone types begins with http: then everything before the first w is truncated. This shouldn't happen.

2. Spaces before automatic hyperlinks are removed, at least if the hyperlink begins with http.

An example of both of those problems:

I'd also like to see it automaticall converted into UBB code - being lazy I often paste in links and would then like to be able to come back and tidy up the link name once it has been converted into UBB (v. handy if you are posting a lot of links.

Ok, been there, done that. Fixed the removal of http:// in the description of the link, added the automatic ubb code addition, saved the whitespace...
only drawback: It isn't retroactive, meaning that only newly entered (or edited) url starting with http:// will be recognized.
