I posted a question but no-one answered. Should I post it again to get people's attention?

The simple answer is no - it will just be shut down by a moderator.

If people haven't answered then it might just be that people haven't yet had time to rally get into your question or you might have not explained things clearly enough (although someone will usually ask for clarification if that happens). Leave it a while and if people still haven't replied try explaining your problem again in the same post. This will bump your post up to the top of the stack and give you a chance to elaborate on your problem.
