User opinions:
The main reason for my looking into Miranda was the hope of finding a multi-protocol IM client which allows me to send offline messages to ICQ contacts who set their status to 'invisible' - something I haven't been able to do through Trillian for a while. After some testing I found that using Miranda I can do this without a problem, and that was reason enough for me to stick with it. On top of that, I've come to enjoy its simplistic user interface and extensive customizability.
All in all, a really nice, lightweight messenger - especially considering that it is only version 0.3 as of now.
I just installed it yesterday (17-aug-03), and I was at the first time a bit confused. I think it should have already came with Yahoo! protocol integrated, as it is one of the most popular. It did not really affected me, sicne there is a plug in around for it.
Speaking of which, it does have some very useful plugins, like custom popups, and even a winamp controller ;P (well, they are useful at least for me). Its really simply and elegant, which could be a good or bad thing, depending your perspective.
What currently bothers me is that one time or another provokes my computer to freeze. That may be just me, but i think its worth to consider this possible random error.
