How do I make a sideways site?

Instead of having a site which runs down the page it is possible to have a series of pages alonside each other and a nifty bit of DHTML can make it all work nicely.

Ducati was working on this and InI (and others) solved a whole series of problems to make this work cross-browser and it scrolled smoothly.
