Adaware finds nothing and neither does spy cop. Kazaa, even though it's the lite version, wasn't even running. How did they do this and why can't I find it in my processes? And is this the next nuisance advertising to invade our computers?

NT4 / Win2k / WinXP) If so, get a firewall! Try the following: Click [Run] and type CMD [Enter] At the dos prompt type: ipconfig/all [Enter] (This will show your IP address) Next, type: net send your.ip.address Hello[Enter] Voila! You should see a pop-up message (saying Hello) which looks just like the one you've been recieving. It's a new(ish) spam-scam, targetted to whole IP ranges... and they SUCK! And follow the directions for how to get rid of it. I think it is a Kazza thing as I was having the same problem. I am pretty sure I just uninstalled it from the add/remove programs things... Try the following:
