I have a question which is probably explained somewhere deep in the FAQ, but who wants to dig into it : )

I've noticed that titles aren't given according to the number of posts or number of posts per unit time. For example, CPrompt is a Lunatic with 2515 posts who registered in May 2001, while cyoung is a Psychotic with 530 posts from Mar 2001.

Before, I've noticed that most people are called psychotics if they have 1000+ posts or so.

What's the formula?

You are born neurotic. Thenm with no effort, you get to maniac, and then, after a while, you become lunatic.
Then, if doc likes you, you can become a psychotic.
If he keeps liking you and you prove to be good at something, you can be god, I mean, mad sci.
For the most mortals, we will die as lunatic.

Come on now, asptamer, it's not really that hard. The FAQ does have a search function, you know...

asptamer if you look at the member list you'll see a number of Lunatics who aren't mods in the top of the number of posts list:

There are some Psychotics floating around without forums like cyoung, and Nevex, who were mods of forums that no longer exist - in their case the distributed computing forum. I'm not sure it is quite a question of the Doc 'liking' you or not (but I think he has to feel he can work with you ).

yes DL, and with your PS knowlege and helping abilities, combined with the lack of some monitor in certain forums, I would have to say that you would make a great Psychotic.

I think this kind of thing was brought up before and quickly turned into an all out pow-wow, so we won't go down that road will we.
