I noticed that many here read/collect comic books, and I was wondering if you also read webcomics and if so, which ones. My favorites are Sluggy freelance about (amongst others) a killer bunny and 8 bit theatre which uses characters from ancient Final Fantasy (Fighter, Black Mage, Red Mage and Thief)

I read most of the traditional webcomics -- I mean, you can't read any gaming or anime sites and not be aware of the existence of Penny Arcade and Megatokyo -- but I've just recently had the pleasure of reading the archives of Diesel Sweeties. Good stuff, occasionally off-color, lots of robots and one-liners. Doesn't always make sense, but some of the best comics don't. Today's issue is particularly relevant to the Asylum.

Speaking of comics that don't always make sense, allow me to mention Bob the Angry Flower -- it's not always funny, but classics like Get the Word Out, The Evil Business Guy Made of Butter, and Just in Case make up for all the rest. (Also look for anything involving bears, robots, or zombies.)

My morning starts with Real Life, then I follow the links there to PvP, Mega Tokyo, Sluggy Freelance, Penny Arcade and RPG World. RPG World has a link to Something Positive, and I visit Schlock Mercenary without help from a link.

User Friendly and MegaTokyo are classics, can't be a geek without 'em One of the better Bob the Angry Flower strips is the Schrödingers Fridge.

Another great comic is Dilbert.

I'm dragging this thread up from the bottom to point you to this site:
http://www.smallstoriesonline.com

It's got a bunch of finished comics/stories. I've picked some:

Read the Same difference if you've got more than an hour to spend/procrastinate, the story's well worth it.

Duncan's Kingdom isn't your average fantasy knight's tale... you'll see. Snappy cola can bring about the destruction of all that is.

Super Unleaded Realistic bitterness. Wonderfully done, yet very depressing. You figure it out.

Interview with a human We are scum.

This guy is so incredibly versatile, both in telling stories as drawing them.. just see for yourself.
Anyway, go check his stuff out. And please, post some comments, I'd like to know what you guys think.

All good and all funny. Except for jack, its good but not that funny.

Same Difference: Holy cripes. The poignancy has infected my bloodstream. Yeah, yeah, it's easy to pull out the irony, but I'm a sap for stories like that... where the best ending is a wobbly continuation or a half-sufficient patch, and even the winners are losers. No wonder such stories don't sell... they're too much like real life. (But obviously part of the lesson is that if you look only at the points, you're missing out on the game.)
