Got myself a new toy yesterday with a gift cert I had for Best Buy. It's a cordless optical mouse from Logitech that uses rechargable batteries. It has a cellphone style charger that you pop it in whenever you're not using your computer to keep it charged. It also has a few extra buttons above and below the scroll wheel that you can configure however you want.

Right now I have the two arrow buttons configure for "Cruise Up" and "Cruise Down." It's like Page Up and Down only a lot smoother and quicker. Great for reading long Asylum threads. I also set one for cut and one for paste earlier when I was doing a lot of editing on a web page. That was really handy.

The very bottom button has the same effect as pushing Alt + Tab. It allows you to cycle through all of your open programs quickly without mousing down to the taskbar or putting down your beer with your free hand.

Very cool toy.

I bought a cordless optical mouse from logitech a year ago or so, but to my disappointment the latency of mouse-to-cursor was so big, that it was impossible to use it. I would move the mouse, and a second later the cursor would move.
Does your cursor move as rapidly as when using the good old cord mice? Btw, How much was it?

I got a cheaper (than that one) Logitech cordless mouse for christmas and its great! no lag between mouse and curser at all. powered by a pair of NIMH batteries, it lasts forever before i need to switch the batteries out too.

It's already on the market here, and we can have it for $99 or $100 plus.

I got the corded version of that mouse and it is a pretty sweet mouse. And all them buttons are alot of fun, especialy in games where you no longer have to hunt all over the keyboard for commands. I was thinking of getting a cordless but I was worried that somebody might try to hack my mouse signal to take over my computer.

I'm happy with my old, but optical Logitech mouse, don't need anything fancier than that. I've started to move all the mouse features over to the keyboard so I use mouse less every day now. Moving and resizing windows are done with the keyboard, same goes for starting programs, moving the mouse, etc.

The only thing I haven't managed to get the keyboard capable of yet, is acctually processing a mouse click. It should have been as easy as the rest, but for some reason it ain't...

No, it does exist. The place that I was talking about was the real place, normal people lives. 3d Place it means that it has it's own surface not just an imagination.

I've used the same with-a-cord version of that mouse (MX500) and I know its great for games ! , it has an amazing latency, and slides much better than any usual mouse, you notice the difference in kills and deaths with it (Counter-Strike).But I've found that ALT-TAb button to be evil, what if your computer crashes if you hit alt -tab ingame ? The two main buttons are good on it aswell very sensitive.

he he, all this about a mouse
