Yep...unfortunatley 'it' is not me getting my internet connection back...but 'it' is something just as good.

After 5 and a half months of unemployment I finally have a job again!

Yes...I now work for a temp agency...one of my first assignments is to do data-entry for a local printing company, sounds fun, and it pays $22.50 an hour

I've been on the ass end of the employment cycle too many times in my short years since leaving highschool... I know how sucky that is.

Hang on, $22.50 an hour for data entry! Shit me, the most you'd liekly get for that in Brisbane is $16 an hour, and even that's stretching the limit. Now I remember why I hate this City. =)

that $22.50 is for typesetting/data-entry...and it's night work...that's why it's a higher rate.

If you want to do data entry work at good rates though Drac go look up the brisbane office of a company called Drake international...sign up with them, they're a temp-agency, and they are very, very good.

Congratulations! What a relief to finally be working after so long. My husband is still unemployed after 6 months, and my sister just found a full time job after 3 months. You have my complete sympathy for that.

And $22.50! What a salary! I'd probably give my right arm for that amount of money per hour (I'm left handed...). We consider ourselves lucky in NC these days to make about $10-12 for just about any job... I'd be rich on $22.50/hour...

Ouch C:\! The economy here sucks pretty hard right now... Be glad you're not in construction. My husband is a carpenter, and we found out recently that 2300 construction/carpentry jobs have been cut in this area in the last 6 months. That's 2300 other people looking for work in the same trade. Needless to say - he's going back to school in the Fall to study HVAC... Higher paying field, and hopefully, more work available....
