WOW! I have a friend who was urging me to load Linux on my system but I told him since I do a lot of graphics work I didn't want to bother with something that I had to switch out of to run PS. I may have to rethink my decision now.

Nice, but that's still not gonna get me to switch.

I can use windows extreamly well, and I'd rather pay M$ then poor a years worth of productivity down the drain getting comfy with a new system.

And there's still a lot of programs that I do development work with which won't run on *nix like Macromedia Director.

well, yeah...

Windows will never really go away, some Big houses will always refuse to develop for it or whatever...

.... and it serves a completely different audience..

it's no so bad, though... it's just important to realize that Windows isn't the only choice

Oh how I have waited for this day. Now all is left is to get a new modem and I am working with Linux much more. Doubt that I will ever get rid of Windows but this is definatley a move in the direction I want to go.

Thanks for the links.

<edit>

work with 5.5 so I may give it a shot anyway. Couldn't hurt since they give you a free 30 day tria</edit>

ah, good call Rinswind. I am going to download the trial version and see if it works. If it does, I have no reason not to go ahead and purchase CrossOver.

Thanks for the links
