No real problem, I guess. It's really just more of a shock to see my work mangled like that. You'd think they could have maintained the aspect ratio or something, y'know? Oh well. Heh =)

1. I'd rather you asked before stealing my image.

2. I don't think it works as a sig - size and dimesnions."

If it were me, I'd sign up for that board and dress him down for no other reason than he made it ugly.

It's bad enough he ripped off your image, but since he's obviously just a kid that doesn't know better then he's not really hurting anyone. But then he thought he could "improve" on your work and make it his own. That's where I'd draw the line. Besides, I think it'd be damn funny to read their reactions. =)

As far as caring goes, it doesn't really bother me. If they'd have asked to use the image I wouldn't have minded. I agree with Emps about informing them that they're supposed to ask first.

Sure does feel good to know people appreciate our work enough to rip it off though

I found out because they linked to my image, so it was in my referral logs.

I don't really think I'll complain about it, because it's not really a big deal. It's just a crappy little sig, and he's not stealing bandwidth or anything. He'll have a different sig before long. I think complaining about it would just be a lot more trouble than it's worth. One must choose their battles wisely.

You know what Slime? you should really care about this, who ever did that should give an apology or should have taken your authorization first.

Actually, it's pretty much up to Slime whether or not he cares about this. You might care about it if you were in his shoes, but you can't really tell him that he should or shouldn't care...

The reason that this doesn't bother me, Yannah, is that I've seen much worse in the area of graphic stealing. People aren't going to give this kid a lot of credit for his sig in a forum crawling with others who likely do the same sort of thing. He'll probably make a new one before long, too. Also, I'm sure he doesn't know any better, or if he does, he's probably done much worse things (relatively speaking, such as downloading warez, etc).

So, thank you for your concern, but it's not really a big deal =)

Of course, if schitzoboy thinks otherwise, I'd have no problem with whatever he wanted to do about it.
