Are you familiar with the Champions system? (I can't remember what it's predecessor is called.) |

I have checked the hero and chanpions books but went withe the Abberant game since it is a system that I know. I used that for some influence on the game but made 80% of it myself. The dice system belongs to White Wolf so I am going to check into things a bit more before I start posting an entire book's worth of materealon the web to explain the game mechanics. |

ah...this sounds like fun. however, I am not that adept with YYH or White Wolf. I do know the D&D system, not sure if it is basically the same. wish i could be of some help though. sounds like a good task. |

Yes. The legal way to do it is for them to buy a core book that explains it. The only other option you really have is to share one book. House rules or adaptation of the rules are fine, but not along with an entire reprint of the core book information. No dancing with the copyright! You could take the long, hard, but usually more satisfying and marketable, approach and write your own core rules instead of using an existing system. I suppose it depends on whether or not you plan on trying to make money on it or if its just for fun. |

thats what I thought too. But I have sent an e-mail to White Wolf asking about this but it doesn't good for all making this easy for non-gamers. |

So... you're making a Role playing game for non-gamers? Sounds like a poor marketing plan to me. When looking at a group of people who are interested in playing they should get their own equipment (and want to). It's when people are't interested that they resist getting into something new. Lend them the core book and work with them to see if they are interested. If they are, they'll want to get their own stuff. If they aren't, they won't and they won't play. Making it cheap isn't going to make it interesting. |

What I ment by non-gamers was the people that don't have the White Wolf books already. Since most of the people on the YYH cartoon forums are not gamers yet it would be nice to acualy give them the needed information to try the game out rather then having to go and buy another book, learn that, and then try my game. It is not targeted at non-gamers but I wuld lik e them to be able to try it. |
