Topic awaiting preservation: advertising window pop ups (Page 1 of 1)

Can some one pls tell how to shut these &*^%$## pop ups off!
I have gone through my control panel and in admin functions disabled messager
that stopped the gray advertisment boxes off, but these are full size ie-explore screens

If you're a Googler, try the 2.0 beta of their toolbar. It's got a built in popup blocker that's actually quite nice. Very cool. http://toolbar.google.com/

For the Messenger popups, just enable the Internet Connection Firewall in XP. That will stop them.

Zone Alarm pro and my firewall keep me totally free from pop up ads and stuff but this little tool does a good job too. http://blockzone.com/content/index.php
