I have decided to save for a new digi camera and I am looking for the best for the $'s. I have looked and the one that I seen to like the most is the Canon Powershot A70. It's less then $300 and has great features from the ones that I have compared. |

Indus: I would suspect that camera would be a good one for a digital. Canon has always been a good name. I just recently inherited a Canon AE-1 Program that is about 20 years old but it still takes REAL sharp pictures. Non digital, but still good for a cam. Currently sells on Ebay for about $120 bucks. |

I am thinking about buying the new Canon G5 (~ $700) because my wife already has a Canon EOS-30 (Elan7 here in the US) and I could share the flash. If it was not for this sharing, I would buy a Olympus C-5050 (~ $ 550). These are a little more expensive cameras but both have 5 mega pixels and more megapixels is a must if you intend to edit your photos. |

i've been doing some window shopping myself and the a70 is my pick too, i've read nothing but rave reviews. its also tough to find manual features in a camera in that range, a definite winner. |
