Advice Central currently is a Forum-Only Community. This is my "child" so to speak. Basically it is a non-profit, non-professional resource for Adults and Teenagers to come to seek advice on subjects such as "Suicide", "Depression", "Rape/Abuse", "Drugs/Alcohol", and more from "peers" (aka: other teens and adults). This community is small, And on what I call a "Trial Basis". It is hosted on InvisionFree Services. If this community builds and functions how I believe it will, I will then move it to a paid hosting service with the full featured Invision Board. Please help us grow. Please at least check us out. Thanks.

Blue Dragon: Well done for offering an important service - a couple of suggestions:

1. Make the commitment - if you believe it will work then invest in it. Get the domain and proper hosting (speak to Pugzly as he will give you an idea of costs and stuff). It shows you have made a commitment to stay around - at the moment people might not feel it worth their time committing themselves to this as it is all temporary and could disappear over night.

2. Make sure you have procedures in place for trouble - sites for troubled teens will attract all sorts of unsavoury types so make sure you have spoken to various police forces and got their advice and have a clear system up for reporting abuse. You'll also need a reliable set of moderators who know and follow a strict set of rules.

It will be a lot of hard work but putting in the effort now will help draw the people in and make sure you have covered your ass if something bad happens.

Once that is done you can start contacting other organisations and getting links in and pos. sponsorship (look into the Google ads - they might be able to help you cover costs).

Good luck and don't be shy to ask plenty of questions around here

Ok. What do you suggest some of the rules are?
