In the past I haven't had much need to use the command line interface in Windows, so I hope I'm just missing something simple here... |

As far as I know, not in the command line but F5 works in Windows Explorer as it does in Internet Explorer. |

Yep, tried F5 last Thursday when I first ran into this. And it does refresh the window, but it doesn't recognize anything created from the command line since the last logon... |

I tried doing what you described in W2K SP4, and it worked fine. |

I'm not saying this is what's causing it, but SP4 has some serious problems. (One of my computers was fine with it, the other went cuckoo-caca until I uninstalled it.) |
