Hello,

As a modem user, I am looking for a tool that controls my bandwidth and when it seems that there is no more connection and nothing is being downloaded then it should automatically disconnect.

Sometimes I leave downloads overnight using various download managers (say Kaazaa, DAP, GetRight, IRC, ...) and I want to have an independant tool that would disconnect for me when all download (in the various download programs) are finished.

Any ideas?

In Win 2K, go to your Control Panel, open Dial up and Network Connections, right click on your internet connection. Select Properties, and under the Options tab, one of the options is Idle Time before hanging up. Select the desired time from the pull down.
Will that work ?
