Try using Eudora in sponsored (for free). It got a decent message filter. |

I use outlook express and hate it too. OSAF Chandler looks promising but its no where near functional yet. Anyone here play with Pegasus Mail? |

I actually use OUTLOOK, not only does it have better e-mail rules, but if used correctly, can keep your life well organised. |

i would suggest using mozilla mail, there is also a stand alone application, called mozilla thunderbird, where you just can get the standalone e mail program. it has a great spam filter too, btw....oh and something different: believe me, the best anti virus in the world is called "don't use outlook". since it is the most common one, many e mail viruses are programmed for outlook. |

I have to hold my hands up, after reading the replies above I dbl checked my mail rules and found that (somehow?) my collection of words to block had almost vanished!! (Only 8 left I think it was). Of course there are obvious ones to reblock straight away (viagra, debt ) heh, So I will have to educate outlook again. |

Viruses can do it...some of them, if they do manage to get through to your inbox, reduce your list of blocked words in order ot let more of the emails containing the virus through. |
