Well, here in the UK we had our Big Brother this year, and i have to say it was the biggest load of crap on TV, but we have managed to get BB 4 USA.

I have to say that the US have got the concept cracked, i mean the format is totally different than we had here and its works very well.

Now BB4 is coming to and end and things are starting to get tense in the BB house, people back stabbing each other and doing whatever they can to stay in.

I was wondering if any of you folk have been following it, and if so, who do you want to win and why ?

People left in the house so far are:

Robert
Erica
Alison
jee
Jun

For those that have no idea what the hell i am talking about, you can read about it here. BB4

Oh God....

I hate Big Brother. It's another Survivor, or Shipwrecked, or, to put it another way, a so-called piece of 'reality TV' that is about as far from reality it's possible t oget without special effects. I mean, how often in real life (ie: not in TV land) do 15 people get sealed in a house for 13 weeks with camreas everywhere and some guy controlling whether or not the hot water runs or the doors will unlock? And how often do groups of people get stranded on desert islands with camera crews?

It's all bullshit, and as such really detracts from any assumed entertainment value it might or moght not have had.

Hehe the the boss from the dutch tv studio who invented BB grew rich from the ad income only.
And ofcourse after that he sold the show to the world.
Today BB will not gain any public anymore....people have seen it too much.
Now to change the subject here is another dutch invention:
BBC review from the carver.

You all missed my "change of subject" which has absolutly nothing to do with BigBrother....

Now put 14 people in it for two weeks....

I would rather chew razor blades than watch any of that pile of horse droppings. Let me be more constructive, IT'S SHITE.
To watch, and like, putrid effulence like this is an insult to all of your ancestors and a damming inditement to the human race.
Sorry

I hate this kinda crap... I knew the world was getting slow, but have people seriously become too lazy to live their own lives that they must live them vicariously thru their TVs?

I got some reality for you- go to a bar/pub/strip joint. with friends. play pool/drink beer/get laid. Wake up/Regret. Reality!

... and, by the way, they *do* have 16 'supa-hot, huge-breasted, superfluously-sexual' women for ever 17... just like real life!

Both Simpson and Futurama are good enough reasons to switch on the TV. Watching a good movie is also a reason to watch TV, much more comfortable than seeing them infront of the PC. But if non of those are on the TV should stay off

I enjoy watching reality shows now and then. I don't think they're any worse than some of the tripe that passes for sitcom or drama. Watching Survivor doesn't mean I'm trying to live vicariously through someone else, it just means that I sometimes enjoy watching how humans interact and behave in silly situations. To each their own

"Reality" TV worth watching:

Junkyard Wars (British, not American edition) - TLC
Full Metal Challenge - TLC
Good Eats - FoodTV
Modern Masters - HGTV

Careful... you might learn something...

Altho I dont watch tv and have never seen an episode of either BB or Survivor or whatever, I dont thing that ^^^^ is what "reality tv" is all about. its not about looking like real life, but rather depicting how "really" horrific we become once stuck in some fkd up situation. Its ok to hate it tho, I dont blame ya...

E4 (where I assume Axle is watching BB4 USA) nearly made me cry with that one

BB finished here and I thought at least it will be another year (less a bit) until the next one and I don't have to have the TV schedules dominated by that crap (as they show some great stuff - Father Ted reruns, Bo' Selecta, etc.) but no along comes the US version

While the British BB was on I worked out that they were showing something like 27 hours of TV covering Big Borther a day (between 2 channels) now I don't mind BB fans getting a few hours a day but that is just ridiculous!!

You gotta be kidding right ? Thats freaking rubber faced idiot ?, ok i am being dramatic now, some of his stuff is ok, but that Craig David head gear has got to go !!

Now lets talk about some real TV, like

Jackass , now theres quality entertainment, watching a bunch of grown up guys act like kids running around having fun nearly killing themselves, or bending over lighting each others farts.. come on folks, admit it, we have all done stuff like that in the past....or am i the only one ?
