It is a bit petty, but then most things like this are.

There are actually no legal ground for suing as trading under a registered name, since the record label is registered as 'Apple' and it's grown to corporation size, which it why it's called 'Apple Corporation'...but the MAC computer mob at orgiinally registered, and still correctly called these days 'Apple Computers'...that one word is enough to protect them, legally, as they are not trading under the name 'Apple'...they trade under either 'Apple Computers' or 'Apple MAC Computers'.

So I can't see where Apple Corp. has a legal leg to stand on in this issue

actually, with german law they very well might have a case... something about trademarks being easily confused with each other...

recently a company ruled that b-mobile.de had to give up their brand, for it's pronounciation was to close to t-mobile.de...

I just don't see it myself... it seems far too easy to sue people these days, even for the most tenuous of links:

Apple corp = Record Production and distribution.
Apple Comp = Make music on it if you like, but first and foremost it's a personal computer.

Why on earth do they have a problem with this?

But why is this being judged under German Law?

it isn't but how much would you wanne bet that trademark law is not covered by some WTO treaty that most 'first-world' countries ratified and turned into local law already?
