Have any of you Editplus users found a way to control what doctype is added to the top of the HTML template by default? |

EditPlus is my editor of choice. But I don't use this feature you talked about. I like EditPlus because of its printing capability, multiple windows inside the main window, nice shortcuts, coloring, and some other stuff, while keeping the interface clean and easy to use. |

... but it's a text editor, not a dedicated HTML editor.. |

Krets, the <img> tag not having a traling slash is a sore point for many editplus users. You can alter the tags of most HTML that's inserted using the shortcut buttons throught the HTML template file (called html4.ctl located in the edit plus 2 install directory), but altering the img tag doesn't work as that part is appently hard coded into the source. I have a simple regex search saved that I run on all my pages before I upload them (the global search and replace on all open files comes in really handy here). |

I was kind of afraid of that after checking the .ctl and .stx files Drac. Guess I'll just have to tap my foot and wait patiently. |
