![]() ok ok, i downloaded Irfanview and installed it, but now my stupid brain doesnt know how to work it. so lets say i take a picture on my webcam, then save it. it automatically saves it as a .bmp which is the only extension you can save it as. so now i have a the pictureon my desktop. i start up irfanview, then open my picture in it. now what do i do? i want to convert it to jpg but im clueless. please help! |

![]() I don't know this irfanview software, though it seems to be a great software, considering that's freeware, but look for a "Save As...", or an "Export" function. It has to be a simple thing to do. If everything fails, rtfm. |

![]() Cor blimey! Open file in Infran View... choose "file" >>> "save as" and choose one of about 17 formats.. You can also choose "batch convert/process" in the same drop down menu and convert and entire series of pics in one go that are in the same folder and choose to delete or save the originals too. ACDSEE is an ecellent image viewer too and has loads of useful options. They have a little free version that you can download and use too. Find it in Google. |
