If I had too much time to spend on Internet, maybe... but it's far from being the case.

Not at all. i use the Recent changes link on the faq tho. I think its more intuitive as it does not relay that much onto sessions. i'd rather have a last post by <who> at the left of the topic list, as i often forget how much posts some topics have.

I'm with DL... I pretty much only use it. I haven't found another way that will display "new" topics and not have to try to remember which ones I've seen and which ones I haven't.

Wow, I didn't realize the Asylum had that feature! I use that method to the exclusion of nearly all others over at the Gurus, but here I've never touched it. I'll probably be addicted to it now that I know about it =)

Then again, I visit less frequently these days, so there's always something new, no matter where I land.

I go look for the dots, and never use the buttons... I find that visiting my favourite forums (Ozone, PS, sigs, silliness) and looking at the red folders pretty much gets the job done.

No, but I visit once and take note of what are the N top topics, then as I visit later I can note what has changed when new topics replace old ones...
Don't know if what I described made sense, but it works for me!

I got in the habit origianlly because I had a whole bunch of problems with the cookies here, and the dots didn't work properly.

They work fine now, but with so many forums now, it's just a lot easier to use the daily active topic function.

If there's a topic I'm interested in that's not listed, I'll dig in the normal way to find it...
