Apparently this is what 3 never was, version 3 mixed with 2 = 5....

so far it seems pretty good, doubt i'll find any skins about yet but some of the options are funky.

Maybe both 2 and 3 plugins / skins will work

Anyone else liking it?

never heard of it befor, but when i saw this topic i searched for some infos and yes it seems to be good. thx for that.

thanks for that link mejokim, i forgot to put one up, i tried using the MMD3 skin which I love so much on 5, it works but the dropdown menus don't, the menus are blank, so I'll leave it as the base-skin,

I like the "hide from taskbar" option, that used to bug me with v3. seems a lot less of a system hogger than 3 and includes all the things i like about 3 and netradio and winamp tv from 2.

i hope this gets officially released soon

if that's winamp 5, why isn't it from www.winamp.com or NullSoft ?

Urmmmmmm well technically it is illegal software which falls under the "don'ts" around these parts so I'm minded to remove the link to the download. While we ponder that if AOL lawyers have a problem with this 9or the nice people at WinAmp) then email me and I'll remove it.

Also as that download site has nothing to do with WinAmp I would suggest it might be unwise to download and install the software as someone could have done anything to it (not that I'm suggesting they have but its a risk I wouldn't take) - its the perfect scenario to get someone to install some kind of Trojan/redialler.
