A friend of mine is going to upgrade his girlfriend 7.0 to wife 1.0 in a couple weeks time.
I am pretty happy about it.

Well, I upgraded my last girlfriend to wife 2.0 and I am happy with the decision so far (9 years later).

I'd really like to upgrade mine, but I should wait longer to do it.

My girlfriend's still in 1.66... as you know that was when the JustSitThereAndLookPretty Engine was still beta and replaced with NagBoyfriend 1.0 which keeps prompting you for useless information and, when you let it lag, crashes with a "You Don't Love Me" Error.

Not upgrading anytime soon, but constantly considering an Uninstall..

...at least the Sex Drive adapter and drivers work wonderfully. Not only is the drive consistently accessed, the drive light stays on all night...

I'd like to start from the bottom out with Girlfriend 1.0, but I can't afford the high fees necessary to even take it out off the shelf. Luckily though it means I avoid the NagBoyfriend Engine and 'You Don't Love Me' Errors, but the Sex Drive is something I might like to have. Maybe one day I'll be able to avoid it. As with all things people regularly do to operate their computers/lives/everything else, bachelourhood is habit forming.

Has anyone had any success in running multiple instances of girlfriend???????? It might be handy to keep a couple of older versions (1.0, 2.0 ect) running for compatibility issues....

I have also heard that a lot of the older fun stuff that worked with Girlfriend doesn't always work with Wife.... It might be handy to have a copy of each....

I think I am lucky. My application wife 2.0 used to crash at the beginning, I believe that it had some incompatibilities still going on, but as I used it more and more, applying proper patches, it got a lot better; likewise, I also learned a lot from wife 2.0 and now the program runs very smoothly, no crashes anymore. I have even being able to code two other programs, daughter 1.0 and daughter 2.0, not that here the version really matters but it makes sense since both daughters are way too different one from another. I really don't miss any of my former applications, girlfriend x.x and superior. I use that kind of operational system that can't run both applications - wife 2.0 and girlfriend x.x - at the same time. It's an old OS.
But actually, my wife 2.0 is very well coded; it has some nice features built-in like running other child applications: friend 9.0, lover 10.0, partner 5.0, woman 8.0, worker 8.0, mother 9.0 so on. It's a handy aplication.

Skarjj- Sex Drive also comes bundled with various versions (but not all!) of DarkAlluringStranger (available at many Public Utility Booths), but may sometimes load viruses into your computer. I highly recommend running some sort of virus/spawn protection- you have been warned!!

viol- is that OS ChristianValuesXP? If so, there are many work arounds, such as running Confession Pro...

Why do I get the feeling quite a few people here also rely on Madame Palm 1.0 and the accompanying Daughters 5.0 but aren't prepared to admit it?

No, I don't run this version of XP (ChristianValuesXP). I think Microsoft doesn't even have the knowlegde - and values - to code such an OS.
Anyway, my OS is a GoodValues&PrinciplesXP Special Edition (it's a hack of WinXP made by Linux people, believe it or not). It's simple and with a clean interface, that's all. I've never installed Religion 11.x in it. Never run Confession Pro either. Is it freeware?
I don't believe this sort of applications could help me out. I rely mostly on the OS itself for when bugs or crashes happens.
Lately, I've been using wife 2.0 to find out some answers to questions that have no answers at all and my conclusion is that if I were to install a Religious application in my OS I would use some app coded by people from the Orient, from the other side of the World, I mean, they make better such apps than we do, they are famous for being talented in programming and work for less money (Microsoft loves to hire Indians, for instance, because they are cheap and good). Buddhism 2003 would probably be a nice app to install and try to learn how to use it.

Yeah I just went through a complete Uninstall of Girlfriend 10.0. Almost caused a system crash, but with the help of MistressRecovery Utility I was able to get some of the data back. Not all though. Since then my MistressRecovery Utility caused some problems with my CPU so that had to be uninstalled. Right now I am OS independant.

Think I will stay that way for a while until my CPU gets working properly.

No Emps, I don't run Madame Palm 1.0.

My processor isnt too compatable with that software. Last time they I installed Girlfriend I got the Microsoft version, it crashed with no errors and was unrecoverable. Since then I've been searching for upgrades, but they all seem too expensive and less friendly than usual.

yea, I usually just write my own software for my palm pilot.
